Abstract

  • Kalimantan Tengah's economy in the second quarter of 2020 measured by the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices reached Rp36,023.8 billion and on a constant basis in 2010 it reached Rp24,022.8 billion.
  • Kalimantan Tengah's economy in the second quarter of 2020 against the second quarter of 2019 (y-on-y) contracted by 3.15 percent. From the production side, only 7 (seven) categories are still able to grow positively, the remaining 10 categories occur in contraction. The category with the largest contraction was the Other Services Category which grew negatively by 24.24 percent. From the expenditure side, all components experienced a contraction, the biggest occurred in the Export of Goods and Services Components which grew negatively by 13.38 percent.
  • Kalimantan Tengah's economy in the second quarter of 2020 against the first quarter of 2020 (q-to-q) contracted by 5.62 percent. From the production side, only 6 (six) categories are still able to grow positively. The biggest contraction occurred in the Mining and Quarrying Category which grew negatively by 23.73 percent. While in terms of expenditure, the largest contraction occurred in the Export Components of Goods and Services by 8.71 percent.
  • Kalimantan Tengah's economic growth in the first semester of 2020 (c-to-c) contracted by 0.11 percent. In terms of production, the largest contraction occurred in the Other Services Category by 13.51 percent. While in terms of expenditure, the Goods and Services Export Component was 11.21.
  • The economy of all provinces in Kalimantan Island II-2020 both y-on-y and q-to-q contracted. Kalimantan Tengah's economy experienced the second lowest contraction in the Kalimantan region after South Kalimantan.
