Abstract

Combined Farmer Exchange Rate (FER) in Kalimantan Tengah Province increased 2.40 percent, from 100.40 (August 2020) to 102.81 (September 2020). This is influenced by the increase in the exchange rate of the smallholder plantation crops (4.26 percent), food crops (1.00 percent) and fisheries (0.82 percent).

The highest FER occurred in the smallholder plantation sub-sector (104.94), followed by livestock (102.60), fisheries (101.85), food crops (100.14) and horticulture (95.73).

The Exchange Rate of Agricultural Household Enterprises increased by 1.96 percent, from 101.06 (August 2020) to 103.04 (September 2020).

The price index received by farmers (𝐼𝑡) rose 2.03 percent while the price index paid by farmers (𝐼𝑏) decreased by 0.36 percent.

The Household Consumption Index in rural areas was 105.85 percent or there was a deflation of 0.47 percent, which was caused by a decrease in the price index for the food, beverage and tobacco expenditure group.
