April 2021: The number of sea and air transportation passengers increased by 45.68% and 9.79% compared to March 2021

Abstract

The frequency of ship visits at ports in the Kalimantan Tengah region decreased by 3.81 percent, from 788 visits (March 2021) to 758 visits (April 2021).

The number of sea transport passengers rose 45.68 percent, from 17,274 people (March 2021) to 25,164 people (April 2021).

Freight traffic using sea transportation decreased by 3.64 percent, from 1.56 million tons (March 2021) to 1.50 million tons (April 2021).

Sea transportation passenger activities are concentrated in Kumai Port (74.72 percent), while the volume of goods flows at Sampit Port (47.61 percent).

Flight frequency increased 9.65 percent, from 1,047 flights (March 2021) to 1,148 flights (April 2021).

The number of air transport passengers rose 9.79 percent, from 63,684 people (March 2021) to 69,917 people (April 2021).

Freight traffic using air transportation rose 7.34 percent, from 899 tons (March 2021) to 965 tons (April 2021).
