Abstract

In April 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Central Kalimantan Province will be 2.99 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.73. The highest inflation occurred in Sampit at 3.21 percent with a CPI of 106.12 and the lowest occurred in Sukamara Regency at 2.87 percent with a CPI of 107.90.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group increased by 5.92 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group 0.28 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group 0.75 percent; health group 1.08 percent; transportation group 1.86 percent; recreation, sports and culture group 2.44 percent; education group 2.40 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group 2.15 percent; and the personal care and other services group 1.96 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index were: the clothing and footwear group, which fell by 0.02 percent and the information, communication and financial services group by 0.03 percent.

The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate and year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate for Central Kalimantan Province in April 2024 are 0.73 percent and 1.12 percent respectively
